6. Software solutions and examples

Deploying a RAG solution requires the integration of several software components and models. Depending on the environment, budget, available skills, use cases and the volume of data and queries to be processed, more or less complete and flexible solutions can be chosen. The possibilities range from complete local support for the integration of existing modules (search and indexing engine, dialog and generation module, local database, etc.) to cloud-based operation of hosted services using SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms and services, or storage and computing infrastructures.
