4. Program organization

One of the objects of software engineering is the organization of software components. The key word here is modularity. To facilitate porting, programs must be logically organized in hierarchical layers and physically arranged in modules. Various development methods, whether functional or object-oriented such as Booch or Hood [3][10] , help to achieve these characteristics.
