4.1 Dataflow" methodological approach

Datavisualization is based on a data processing methodology that starts from raw data, either extracted from databases traditionally fed by the company's business departments, or, as is increasingly the case, extracted from the social web or from automatic data acquisition via sensors deployed with the Internet of Things. Visual data processing aims to transform raw data into a graphical representation that can be read and understood by the end-user. This process is based on the Dataflow reference model
