1. Introduction to the Agile method

An agile method is an approach to software development and project management that focuses on collaboration, adaptation to change and continuous delivery of work products. It is based on several key principles and can be implemented via different agile development methods such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP. Each of these methods has its own practices and techniques for implementing agile principles.

  • Scrum is one of the most popular agile development methods. It is based on an iterative, incremental process where development teams work on prioritized tasks based on a product backlog, which is constantly updated according to stakeholder feedback. Development iterations, called "sprints", typically last two to four weeks, and culminate in the delivery of a functional product.
