6. Conclusion

Now that we are aware of the existence of quantum cryptography and the problem of the potential fragility of cryptography in the face of the threat of quantum computers, we know that we need to start experimenting with QCD, studying quantum-safe cryptographic primitives and keeping up with standardization, research, innovation and publications on QSC. The DQC certification initiated by the ETSI ISG QKD standardization group will bridge the gap between theoretical proofs (ITS) of robustness of cryptographic primitives and practical realizations still containing flaws due to construction limitations. But, whatever the technology employed, side-channels (human flaws, practical implementation procedures) will remain the weak points of security. All the more reason to use quantum physics-based means of exchanging information (not values) for truly random and unique keys, to minimize the risk...
