2. DQC and cryptography issues

Quantum Key Distribution is complex in theory and practice. The applied principles of quantum physics are arduous, as they are sometimes counter-intuitive in nature. A good overall understanding of QCD systems is difficult without knowledge of the underlying mathematical concepts (Hilbert space, Dirac, tensor product, information and communication theory) and quantum physics. The field of quantum cryptography is multidisciplinary and evolves with research and experimentation. For developers and producers of QCD systems, this includes the fields of optics, electronics, and hardware and software architectures. DQC opens up new possibilities for all ICT users and information systems security managers, who need to be able to decide when and how to deploy this new technology to achieve full security. Indeed, once the doubts about the reality of DQC and future quantum computing had passed, the...
