2. Choosing your equipment

Each fragmentation device covers a specific field of application, if we consider only material size reduction (figure 1 ). But there are other criteria to consider:

• product fineness, hardness and humidity;

• hourly production ;

• product pollution ;

• equipment wear and maintenance ;

• functions required (fragmentation only, fragmentation and classification, fragmentation and drying, etc.) ;

• CONTROLS ;

• investment costs, etc.
