A gas consisting of air and hydrogen sulfide H ₂ S (in low concentration) is to be purified using a packed column. The operating conditions are as follows:

• water flow: 10 m ³ · h ^–1 ;

• gas flow (air): 100 m ³ · h ^–1 ;

• the temperature is a constant 20 °C ;
