Tritiogenic contribution

Production of tritium in the atmosphere due to cosmic radiation or as a result of human activities, which may be military in nature (nuclear bomb explosion) or civilian (nuclear reactor). The emitted tritium ( 3 H) is then produced by radioactive decay of H3e with a half-life of 12.32 years.
