2. Project launch

• It is highly desirable for theCP to be more or less involved in the strategic phase, or at the very least to be informed of its planned appointment well before the final decision to go ahead with the project. This gives him the time he needs to familiarize himself with the general conditions and context of the operation.

It is indeed necessary for CP to be able to choose the methods it will apply and have applied in the specific case of this refinery, to take account of the environment and foreseeable developments in the project. This means that, within the framework of Typol's general management rules, management autonomy must be granted to CP in line with his responsibilities.
