5. Towards continuous performance improvement

The first lap of the safety management loop has been described.

The principle of continuous performance improvement requires this loop to be continuously traversed. In addition to the Deming principle (plan, do, check, act, PDCA), we can also use the "Juran spiral" principle [5] , which involves restarting the management loop each time at a higher level, using what has been learned to make better progress.
