7. Merchant navy: ship hulls (Hempel)

  • Metal brackets

    These are steel shells (approx. 1 cm thick).

  • Surface treatments

    Grease-free metal supports undergo four treatment stages:

    • shot-blasting of sheet metal using metal abrasives;

    • application of a weldable zinc dust-based primer on an automatic chain;

    • assembly of painted panels on site ;

    • shot blasting of weld seams and sweeping of other surfaces, or UHP blasting of metal surfaces with fresh water (UHP = Ultra High Pressure 2,000 bar).
