4. Energy conversion factors

From the series of fundamental constants and the relationships between quantities, we can deduce energy conversion factors useful in metrology and technology. These factors are presented in table 4 , which gives, in brackets above each factor, the relational expression between the corresponding units. To simplify presentation, the uncertainty is given by two significant figures in brackets following the value, and these figures are applied to the last two significant figures of the value.

Example

as E = kT, 1 eV corresponds to 11,604.45 K ± 0.10 K.
