3. Absorption heat pumps

Readers are referred to the article [6] in Techniques de l'Ingénieur.

The aim is to reduce the consumption of mechanical (i.e. electrical) energy by substituting it with heat consumption at higher or lower temperatures.

To make the transition from low to high pressure less labor-intensive, liquid-phase pressurization is used instead of gas-phase compression.
