3. Ménard pressuremeter test

This test consists in radially expanding a cylindrical cell placed in a pre-borehole (figure 19 ). It is the fact that the test is carried out in a pre-borehole that essentially differentiates this test from other pressuremeter tests carried out by self-drilling or by directly sinking the probe by ramming or jacking.
