homogeneous property

A physical property whose value does not depend on the coordinates of the point M(x,y,z) at which it is determined. Otherwise, the property is said to be inhomogeneous.

isotropic property; propriété isotrope

A physical property whose value does not depend on the direction vector (u, v, w) of the direction in which it is determined. Otherwise, the property is said to be anisotropic.
