2. Filtration and part quality improvement

In-mold filtration is not a panacea (it is essential to comply with all appropriate metallurgical instructions prior to the casting operation). It does, however, make an important contribution to improving the quality of castings.

But it has to be economically justified!

This quality is achieved at different levels, depending on the types of filters used (structure) and their finesse [31][33][37] and [41][42][43][44] .
