3. Paint

Painting is a special customer request, usually to protect the part against corrosion, but can also be used for decorative or appearance purposes.

The range applied will be somewhat different depending on the objective to be achieved, but the basic products and processes will be very similar.

3.1 Surface preparation

The quality of the deposit is highly dependent on the surface condition, roughness and cleanliness of the part. On cast-iron and steel parts, paint is generally applied after the finishing sandblasting or shot-blasting operation.
