6. Foundry engineering

In the foundry sector, engineering studies have to take into account the main constraints arising from the manufacturing techniques and materials used to create production facilities, from the simplest, such as the installation of a new machine, to the most complex, such as the modernization of an entire workshop, or even the creation of a complete new production unit [6] .

The foundry is in fact a very specific environment, often dusty, hot, especially near melting equipment and in pouring zones, and in some places noxious and noisy, all constraints that need to be taken into account when studying the working conditions of personnel.

Equipment, and particularly measuring devices, which are also subject to a wide range of stresses (sand in mechanical systems, heat, dust, proximity...
