3. Zn-Ni coatings

3.1 Elaboration

The electroplating of zinc-nickel coatings was first achieved by Jacobs in 1905 [20] . As early as 1907, Schoch and Hirsch [21] obtained electrolytic coatings containing over 32% nickel using a sulfate-based electrolyte. Since then, numerous works have been devoted to the codeposition of Zn-Ni using two classes of electrolytes:
