1. Overview of various heat treatments

As mentioned in the introduction, their purpose is to improve certain properties, but they often have secondary effects on other properties. We have distinguished six types of heat treatment, and the table lists them according to their purpose and side effects; their position in the manufacturing range is also specified.

For each type, this section describes the purpose of the treatment and the minimum steps required to achieve it.
