7. Precautions to be taken when heat treating titanium alloys

It is not possible to conclude this study without reviewing the practical precautions involved in the design of heat treatments for titanium alloys, and the precautions to be taken to minimize, if not eliminate, them.

They fall into four categories:

  • part homogenization ;
