6. Conclusion

Today's workshop and/or laboratory control systems make it possible to monitor the entire process chain involved in the manufacture of a part, and thus, ultimately, to control its quality. The causes of an undesired interaction between a residual chemical product and the processing atmosphere can thus be identified, and means of action implemented.

Degreasing efficiency can be monitored in production, notably by using equipment that quantifies the fluorescence reflected after illumination with UV light.

Laboratory equipment enables detailed analysis of residues on the surface and changes in composition on the surface of parts. The article presents a number of examples encountered in industry, and the means used to pinpoint the causes of disorders.
