linear welding energy ; specific heat input

Heat energy transmitted to the workpiece per unit length of bead and per welding deposit.

Welding Operating Procedure (WOP) ; welding procedure specification

Refers to all the measures taken during manufacturing to produce a welded joint on a material to a given quality level. It includes :

• welding process(es) as defined in article [BM 5 185] (§ 1.1.2), including adjustment parameters,

• edge preparation and edge-holding devices,

• welding position,

• input product(s),

• sequencing of elementary deposits,

• thermal conditions (pre- and post-heating, inter-pass temperature)...
