2. Methodological coupling
The original procedure developed for the inventory consists of creating a database based on simplified physico-chemical models for the sub-systems defined in figure 1 .
In this way, the LCA and process engineering methodologies are coupled, since the most important part of the inventory is carried out using Aspen Plus flowsheeting software (figure 2 ).
