7. Lead refining

The aim of refining operations is to obtain 99.99% soft lead, by selective pyrometallurgical extraction of impurities. In succession (figure 2 ):

  • a decuivrage ;

  • removal of arsenic, antimony and tin;

  • an unsilvering ;

  • dezincification;

  • debismuthage.
