3. Mini-plants from industrialized countries

Mini-plants originated in industrialized countries in two different ways, which we'll look at below, before looking at their geographical expansion, their various technical, economic and social aspects, and finally, trying to predict their future.

3.1 Historical development

This trend in the old industrial countries, i.e. Europe and North America, is in fact due to two quite different phenomena:
