3. CO2 Injection

3.1 Characteristics of Corrosive Environments

The injection of CO2 Transportation via a well into an underground storage facility poses specific challenges that differ somewhat from those of transmission lines, particularly due to the presence of water in the geological formations. This water can therefore be found in injection wells, either in liquid form at the bottom of the well or as vapor at the wellhead, where high relative humidity and the risk of condensation exist.
