Steam boiler, steam generator

A device that supplies energy to water in order to change its state from liquid to gas, in the form of steam. These boilers are referred to as "fume tube" boilers when the water vaporization takes place outside the tubes, and "water tube" boilers when the vaporization takes place inside the tubes.

Circuit de refroidissement: cooling system

A circuit designed to remove heat from an industrial process. Water is the fluid used to remove heat, generally via a cooling tower using the latent heat of vaporization of the water.

Domestic hot water

Drinking-quality water for sanitary applications: showers and cooking.
