Thermal insulation; Insulation

Element with low thermal conductivity, installed on the walls of industrial equipment to limit heat exchange with the outside environment.

Acier inoxydable ; Stainless steel

Iron-based alloy containing at least 12% chromium by mass.

Unalloyed or low-alloyed steel; Low Alloy Steel

Alloy based on iron and carbon (< 2% by mass), and which may contain other alloying elements at a content of less than 5% by mass.

Corrosion sous contrainte ; Stress corrosion cracking

Corrosion mode resulting from a combination of electrochemical attack and mechanical stress, leading to crack formation.
