Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)

Machine learning models inspired by the functioning of the human brain. They are used to learn complex relationships between inputs and outputs from data.

X-ray diffraction (XRD)

Analytical technique used to identify the crystal structure of materials. It is very different from EDS, as it does not give the direct chemical composition, but rather the way in which atoms are arranged in the crystal.

Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS)

A technique often used in conjunction with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze the chemical composition of materials.
