9. Liquid dielectrics for electric vehicles
The massive electrification of transport driven by the energy transition is set to bring about significant change in the transportation industry over the next few years. Modern electric vehicles (EVs) feature several assemblies of power-dense electronic components, all of which require advanced dielectric and thermal management. The role of liquid dielectric cooling in many components (induction motors, batteries and power electronics) is therefore critical to achieving satisfactory reliability. Liquid cooling encompasses both indirect liquid cooling and immersion cooling.
Given the limitations of air-cooling systems, liquid coolant is an alternative route for large-scale electric vehicles (EVs)
