2.1 Objectives
Today, hopes for the future development of magnets with improved performance are based almost exclusively on rare-earth alloys (cf. article ). As there is little hope of discovering truly new TR-MT magnetic phases, progress is based on the development of new manufacturing processes or, at the very least, on the optimization of the various stages of elaboration, the aim being to control the establishment of a very precise microstructure or nanostructure, capable either of developing coercivity or, principally, of favoring remanence to the detriment of H c .
