4. Conclusion

Wood is an engineering material derived from a living, renewable resource: trees and forests. Its properties are already being put to good use in technological applications in various industrial sectors. Less widespread, its use in human health is the subject of numerous studies which attempt to characterize quantitatively and qualitatively the impact that wood can have, under certain conditions of use, on the sensations of well-being, the comfort of individuals and their state of health.
