4. Moulding of small and medium production runs

4.1 Vacuum molding

Vacuum molding technology is used to manufacture thermoplastic composite parts, from composite fabrics of reinforcing fibers and thermoplastics (e.g. glass/PP for Twintex®).

The use of such a composite fabric optimizes the mechanical properties of the part, particularly impact resistance.

This fabric can be combined with various PUR (polyurethane) foams, wood or honeycomb for sandwich structures. Surface enhancement can be achieved by applying gel coat, paint or surface veils and films.

This process, which does not release volatile matter, is suitable for small and medium-sized production runs, for boating, transport, sports and leisure applications, requiring low investment levels for its implementation....
