2.1 Rêcheur theory

Although the main purpose of textile care products is to wash, i.e. remove soiling, over time these items must remain pleasant to wear. One of the difficulties encountered wash after wash is the problem of wrinkling.

Scanning electron microscope observations have revealed the presence of tiny threads (fibrils) on used cotton fibers (figure 9 ). These fibrils are caused by the progressive deterioration of textile fibers during washing cycles.
