Anas; shives

Waste from scutching with tow. This waste is not used in textiles but is recycled in various applications: particle board, animal bedding, horticultural mulch, and even fuel for heating.

Spindle bench; roving frame

Machine for stretching a fiber ribbon and forming a slightly twisted strand.
