2. Digital chain for additive manufacturing of ceramic parts

From a global point of view, the process of obtaining a ceramic part can be summarized as follows:

  • Digital modelling of the part to be produced using CAD software;

  • the faceting of this model so that it can be processed by digital tools dedicated to additive manufacturing;

  • processing of this faceted model in preparation for production (orientation of the part in machine space, creation of supports, anamorphoses, etc.);

  • slicing the digital model obtained to obtain the different layers of the part to be produced;

  • calculation of the material deposition and/or consolidation path for each stratum ;

  • the production of the part by the additive manufacturing machine;
