4. Conclusions

Terracotta has undergone many stages in its technical development. Today's production methods are highly automated and capable of delivering a high-quality product.

Environmental needs now require production to use less non-renewable energy. Kilns and dryers have already undergone major improvements in energy efficiency. This will be further improved by greater use of non-fossil energy.
