5. Regulations, standardization and labels

5.1 Regulatory requirements for domestic heating appliances

The installation and use of domestic heating appliances must comply with current regulations, including (but not limited to):

• arrêté du 22 octobre 1969 relatif aux conduits fumée desservant les logements ;

• Standard departmental sanitary regulations on minimum hygiene, health and maintenance requirements for facilities;

• decree of October 22, 1993 on consumer safety with regard to closed fireplaces and inserts using solid fuels;
