3.1 Industrial furnaces
The treatment is applied to solid sawn timber (lumber, rafters, boards, etc.). Retification reactors were developed by Fours et Brûleurs Rey using a fixed-bed discontinuous convection heating principle. The enclosure is a double-shell stainless steel cell with a parallelepiped geometry similar to that of furnaces used in the metallurgy industry (figures 7 and 8 ).
