5.1 Don't entrust BCP management to a support department (IT, general services, etc.).
The aim of the BCP is above all to provide the keys to business continuity. In this context, "business" processes should be given priority over "support" processes. A support process manager will not have a sufficiently clear "business" vision of the company, and the risk could be that procedures are poorly defined and difficult to implement.
