3. Consider individual protection
If all the previous steps in chemical risk prevention have not succeeded in completely eliminating exposure to a chemical agent, the provision of personal protective equipment for the operator at his or her workstation should be considered.
3.1 First, identify the personal protective equipment available on the market.
As with the search for collective protection, this search is carried out according to the nature of the exposure to be reduced and the pollutant. For each risk, there is a corresponding type of protection. Guides provided by PPE manufacturers, as well as technical guides available on the INRS website, are used for this inventory.
