AEGL
Acute Exposure Guideline Levels. These are values defined by the EPA to protect the population in the event of accidental emissions of chemicals into the atmosphere.
BMD
Benchmark dose: a dose that produces an effect corresponding to a change in the response level compared to a control group.
BMD10: this is the dose that causes 10% of cancers in a study.
