Adoucissement; Water Softening

The process of replacing calcium and magnesium in water with sodium ions.

Decarbonation; Water decarbonation

The process of reducing the carbonate hardness of water (TH linked to TAC).

Demineralization; Déminéralisation

The process of removing all inorganic salts from water.

French degree (°f); Degré français (°f)

Unit of concentration used to characterize water quality. It is equal to 1/5 of a milliequivalent.

Scaling; Scale precipitation

Precipitation of salt on a surface, essentially composed of calcium carbonate.

Inhibitor ; Inhibitor
