Distributor

Any natural or legal person established within the Community, including a retailer, who only stores and places on the market a substance, either on its own or in a mixture, on behalf of third parties.

European Economic Area

The European Union member states, Ireland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

Chemical Safety Assessment

Chemical safety assessment is the process of determining the risk posed by a substance and, as part of the exposure assessment, developing assessment scenarios that include risk management measures to control those risks.

Manufacturing

The production or extraction of substances in their natural state.
