2.1 Somatic Nervous System (SNS)
Sensory neurons transmit information to the CNS from somatic sensory receptors located throughout the body (head, skin, joints and proprioceptive muscles), as well as information from specialized sensory receptors (sight, hearing, smell and taste).
Motor neurons carry impulses from the CNS to the skeletal muscles (voluntary muscle activation).
