3. What provisions apply to the dangerous goods being transported?

3.1 Choice of container

Once you have listed the dangerous goods to be shipped in your inventory, you need to ensure that the dangerous goods containers comply with ADR regulations. Goods can be shipped in two main ways.

  • "Unit delivery": the material is packaged in a container which is intended to be delivered to its place of use in its entirety, closed and in the same condition as when it left the production site. This is known as a "package".

  • "Split delivery": the material is packaged in "bulk" in a container, the emptying of which is split into several separate deliveries, to several locations where the material is used, the distance between the delivery locations necessitating the use of public...
