Chemical safety assessment
Chemical safety assessment is the process of determining the risk posed by a substance and, as part of the exposure assessment, developing scenarios including risk management measures.
Market launch
The act of supplying a product or making it available to a third party, whether or not in return for payment. All imports are considered to have been placed on the market.
Substance
A chemical element and its compounds in their natural state or obtained by a manufacturing process, including any additive necessary to preserve its stability and any impurity resulting from the process used, but excluding any solvent which can be separated without affecting the stability of the substance or modifying its composition.
