4. Know the obligations related to the use of a substance in the manufacture of an article

As an importer, you are identified as an article supplier. You may be concerned by two legal obligations if an SVHC substance is one of the constituents of the imported article:

  • an obligation to provide information;

  • an obligation to notify ECHA .

4.1 Information obligation

Without delay from the date of inclusion on the candidate list, suppliers of articles containing one or more substances on the candidate list in concentrations equal to or greater than 0.1% (w/w) must provide customers, at their request and within 45 days, with sufficient information to enable safe use of...
